Is it just coincidence that coach Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban are now complaining about the trade which brought Pau Gasol to the Los Angeles Lakers? Both the Spurs and the Mavericks had just as much of an opportunity to get Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies as the Lakers and the other 28 NBA teams. They didn't get him and the Lakers did. I think they are mad more than anything because as a result The Lakers now have to be regarded as the team to beat in the West. As Gasol gets more familiar with Phil Jackson's Triangle Offense they will only get better. In six months, Laker GM Mitch Kupchak has gone from being one of the maligned GM's in the league to one of the most praised. The fact that both Popovich and Cuban are now crying wolf speaks volumes on this. As one of my nephews would say... GET OVER IT!!!
