The great Pedro Martinez finally made his return to the mound today for the Mets as they took on the Reds in Cincinnati. After a rough first inning, Pedro struck out Scott Hatteberg and pitcher Aaron Harang in the second inning to record the 2,999th and 3,000 strikeouts of his career. Pedro becomes the 15th major league pitcher to reach this milestone.
