The Heat Is On!!!

And I have no AC!!! It reached 104 degrees here in beautiful downtown Thousand Oaks today, and it was much hotter than that (and more humid) in surrounding areas... we're supposed to get a break in the weather around Wednesday - finally!!!

There's a lot to write about other than the weather... how about Appalachian State upsetting #5 ranked Michigan in college football??? Wasn't that something???!!! Clay Buchholz throwing a no-hitter for the Red Sox in only his second major league start??? WOW!!! Rick Ankiel continuing to win games for the St. Louis Cardinals in his amazing comeback... UCLA convincingly defeating Stanford by a 45-17 tally... and yes, U$C won too for those of you that actually like that school. *sigh*... I had two fantasy football drafts yesterday... both went well. Almost forgot, we have U.S. Open tennis going... the men haven't had any major upsets yet, but #2 seed and defending champ Maria Sharapova lost her match yesterday... I know... that's a bummer!

There's a lot to look forward to tomorrow... Lots of baseball to watch - Pedro Martinez is back and pitching for the New York Mets tomorrow!!! Also, I get my dream pairing in a golf tournament as Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods go off in the next to last group tomorrow at the Deutsch Bank championship... expect to see thousands of words here posted in this space tomorrow and Tuesday! :)

I'll be playing blog catch-up very early tomorrow morning when it's only about 80 degrees here... for now, it's though time to relax and try to stay cool!!!
