I actually spent a good part of today watching a professional hockey game on TV... Not my typical Sunday activity. Then again, I did have my first fantasy baseball draft of the 2008 season and we all lost an hour of sleep, so I guess the day was not typical to begin with. As for my baseball draft, it went fairly well. Though I'd be lying if I said I was as prepared as I think I should have been.
Getting back to the hockey game... I watched about 50 of the 60 minutes of tonight's game pitting the Montreal Canadians and Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center and I somehow managed to miss seeing all four goals that were scored!!! I turned the game on about six minutes in and it was 1-1... I watched the entire rest of the first period, and all of the second. I then missed seeing the Ducks score two goals in about a three minute span in the final period (I had switched over to the Lakers game against the Sacramento Kings for a few minutes). The good news is the Ducks did indeed win 3-1, but I missed ALL of the excitement! And to make it worse, the Lakers somehow found a way to lose tonight against the Kings 114-113. The Lake Show just seemed out of sync as a team the entire night. Despite this, they did have a chance to win, but Kobe came up short on an 18-footer as time expired.
